SIMON O'KEEFFE

“Damn! That’s the prettiest hair I’ve ever seen on a boy” Reginald D. Hunter

An exciting and edgy act who is headlining more and more clubs around Ireland and even the U.K, Simon is definitely one to watch. A professional comedian since 2005, he is one of the most regular performers at all the top comedy clubs in the country and has played some of the biggest clubs in the U.K. including The Comedy Store, The Stand, Jongleurs, The Glee and Rawhide many times.

An extremely adept and accomplished M.C., Simon is now in his sixth year as resident M.C. of the Capital Comedy Club every Wednesday and Sunday in Temple Bar’s Ha’Penny Bridge Inn and also hosts monthly clubs in Stepaside and Killiney. He has played some of the biggest festivals in Ireland including the Carlsberg Comedy Carnival and Oxegen and this year supported Neil Delamere on tour around Ireland.

A regular contributor to Irish media, he has appeared on Dublin’s 98Fm, Newstalk 106, Spin 103.8, WLR FM, Dublin City FM, NEAR FM and Belfield FM. His television debut came on The Big Bite on RTE1 and he recently starred in the pilot TV show Freeloaders for Loch Bo films. He was one of the writers for some of the biggest comedy shows on Irish television including Katherine Lynch’s Single Ladies and That’s All We Have Time For .
